The biannual Showerhead clean

Postby Cain on Fri Dec 03, 2004 12:32 pm

Dear Resident

The biannual showerhead clean will take place on Friday 10th December. The works are essential to ensure compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1994 and other associated legislation.

With regards

Residence Manager

Did anybody else find this really funny? It makes it sound as if it's a big event. Should we get gowned up and sing chorals while they do it?

or have i been spending too much time on my dissertation?

I think you've been spending too much time on your dissertation...

*giggles*

Is it just me or does anyone else think it may be nice to have them cleaned more than twice a year...

Can we take showers next Friday or not?

Oh, yes, and I always wear my academic gown to the shower anyway, though singing chorals would be a nice touch. Shower singing, we should start that.

Shall I organize a shower singing group for c-floor then? We could do the gaudeamus and such . . . I think a kela knows all the verses and can do a solo. I shall lead us in Auld Lang Syne in honor of the new year. Yes, Friday morning at five am . . . gowns are recommended. All are welcome. Champagne breakfast to follow in the now vacated C-floor study room.
I've not been myself recently..

I would suggest waiting until after 5 or after its been done...if I remember rightly it is a guy with black rubber gloves and a bucket who cleans the shower heads....and he usually does it in the morning on D-floor...it involves taking all the shower heads off and putting them in his bucket of water...
