Gatecrashing

Postby Akasha on Wed Feb 16, 2005 11:15 pm

(Apparently) it's a masquerade ball which could be cool but ANYTHING would be better than last year's.

I think Simon should be given a ticket, for old times sakes and all that, i mean he did manage to sneak into the hall photo again didnt he?

Any other ex-Chattanites planning on gatecrashing???

That was a good hall ball.

Well done to Jules for putting it all together and having it all work out.

You are wrong by the way, no ball could ever possibly be worse then the one for my first year that was in venue 1 of the union and had a tacky hawaiian type theme...

I have to side with Akasha on this one: the one in our 3rd year was an aberration that lacked dancing, music, and crucially: fun.

The one in our first year had everything that a ball should have: a big place where people could meet and sit down and eat and dance and mingle; a number of other events going on around it; free ice cream; a ceilidh on a decent dance floor; Jelly Bean Awards and a fun theme that was well used throughout the night. Though every subsequent ball has had its plus points, that was my favourite hall ball throughout my four years in Chattan.

Yeah...but...but...there were fishes!! Ok, yes, it was cold, no where to dance or sit but there were fishes....

My fave ball was the one in second year in younger hall with the 1920's theme but maybe thats because I love 1920's clothes...

I really hated the first year one, was so tacky...and I believe that would be the one where nobody danced with me at all and I ended up going home early very upset....
