and here is the great thing that accomodation services have discovered - fine someone and they have to pay, especially if you only tell them about it TWO DAYS before the end of the final day of term they have no choice but to pay guilty or no

there's a fine for wearing puffy director pants.

they don't wear puffy director pants?

Then... there's a fine for NOT wearing puffy director pants.

Seriously, RESBUS should be making money hand over fist with the captive market that they have.

"Dear Resident:

The fire alarms on Friday morning were due to a fault in the system. This was fixed on the same day. The fire alarm on Saturday morning at 4am was due to food left burning in the A floor kitchen. No resident (or floor) of McIntosh Hall will be held personally accountable for this event; such alarms are nonetheless paid for by your hall committee as the fire brigade does not come out to Hall for free. Your diligence in ensuring such events do not happen is in the best interest of the entire Hall."

Oh well, the hall as a whole is getting fined for it!

I didn't download it guvner. It fell off the back of the Internet!
Now some people weren't happy about the content of that last post. And we can't have someone not happy. Not on the internet.

Jules, I don't think you need anyone's outside help in defaming your character. You have done such a good job yourself!

How about being proactive as opposed to reactive. Just a thought.

I resent the implication that I should made to pay for something that happened when I was a). sleeping and b). nowhere near A floor. Just because you want a good reference/place in hall in no reason to defame my character by charging me 10 pounds and implying that by living on the same floor as the person who set off the alarm I am as guilty as they are.

Pro-actively doing what?
How does one pro-actively stop things which have already happened?
What job of mine is it to apprehend wrong-doers?

Also, please do not imply without cause a lack of good character on my part, it is libelous, and something for which you may be taken to court.
