Dryers

Postby rtsg on Wed Dec 06, 2006 4:46 pm

...no, not another laundry/washer/dryer rant, something a little positive

The dryers (well at least the one in the small "secret" laundry) do not have to be filled only with 20p's, this has been the case for some while, not sure exactly when.

So you can put whole quids in. It seems not everyone knew this.

Happy Drying

it's been like that since the start of the semmester I think.

while we're on the subject, does anyone know if the dodgey one in the main laundry's been fixed yet?

Now some people weren't happy about the content of that last post. And we can't have someone not happy. Not on the internet.

Has anyone told Circuit or the RMs about it?

A dodgy drier? As in one that you pay for 70 minutes worth of drying time and it *still* doesn't get an average washload dry?

*still fuming*

Have you made sure to clean the filter, it usually cuts the time down a bit?

Which one is that? I've managed to have decent luck with the dryers so far.

And John, the dryers only took 20p coins at the beginning of the semester. About a month ago they changed it. I think.

Yes I did, the filter was lint free. I am not sure however about the steam release pipe, it could be something to do with that. Ah well, my clothes are dry now.

I wrote it in the repairs book - the RMs weren't in - and it got ticked off, so i assumed Circuit had been in. I'll bring it up with Evelyn tonight at work.
