Ski Week

Postby o_t4ng on Wed Jan 17, 2007 10:45 pm

Alrighty... seeing as the exams are nearing an end (woo-fucking-hoo!!) I want to get some sort of organisation going...
I'm sure the esteemed Ents Rep has something planned... but just in case and cos I get bored easily I just wanna see if we can get some events going.

So, who is actually going to be here (at all)? I'm here all the time (except the 26th-28th).

Just now I have a couple of definite plans:
There will be a football kickabout in the park this Saturday (20th). Hopefully, there will be enough of us to make it interesting. Tell your friends... tell people who you want to see kicked to death... either way, the more the merrier.

Secondly, we will be running a Lord Of The Rings Marathon at some point. All 3 extended editions back to back. You know you want to.

Other than that... I think Andrew wanted some gaming... and there are plenty of other movie marathons to be had (we can repeat last year's Star Wars epic)... Also, we have 6 series of Scrubs, 4 series of Coupling... 3 series of 2 and a Half Men... stupid amounts of DVDs...

So, yeh... Put in your votes now.

Yes I would like some gameing, sinces I'm of the lazy kind, and phyical exersize is so not my thing.
But yea, you hit apon some of the things I trully want to do.
Lord Of The Rings Marathon, I most certinaly want.
And Star Wars, as long as more than Alex, Riho, Sean and my self are there to watch them, cos other wise not really a point to it,
I'd like to see just how much scrubs one can fit into a day.

I'm pritty much game for anything,

I'd like to see just how much scrubs one can fit into a day.

Let's see.

Season 1 = 24 episodes at say 23 minutes each = 552 minutes = 9 hours 12 minutes

Season 2 = 22 eps x 23 minutes = 506 mins = 8 hours 24 minutes

Season 3 = 22 eps x 23 minutes = 506 mins = 8 hours 24 minutes

Season 4 = 25 eps x 23 minutes = 575 mins = 9 hours 36 minutes

Season 5 = 24 eps x 23 minutes = 552 mins = 9 hours 12 minutes

(Not counting Season 6 as theres only been a handful of episodes)

Total = 2691 minutes = 44 hours 48 minutes.

Say you watch it for about 12 hours a day, it would take you about 4 days to watch it all. I'd suggest it would be more comfortable to do a season a day for 5 days but that would take up the whole of ski week.

I'll be around for most of the week and I can offer "Firefly" and "Serenity" for watching.

Perhaps some ritual virgin sacrifice to the exam gods would be in order. Mind you, finding a virgin in university is like trying to find a metal atom in a haystack!

Why oh why did I buy Thornography?

Yays. Except If I watch LoTR one more time, I might just murder someone. With Swords, Arrows and Axes (In that order).

I rekon I'll Raid the library for foreign films tomorrow in any event!
