I'm not officially there, but I'll probably be loitering in the common room a bit, unless my place becomes the unofficial common room

I can't think of anything original to say, but, basically, I'm in the same boat as the last two posters.

To add some originality; I won't be living here next year! However, I'll probably turn up to help out with freshers week. If for no other reason than to rescue the innocent newbies from the academic clutches of some of our more colourful Tertians.

Then we shall do battle for the freshers then, me and Sean will show them how to have fun (well, sean maybe more so). Anyway, I need to recruit to my academic family.

Ahem. If you think you lot are picking up ALL the freshers, you are much mistaken!

Now now children, there will be plenty of freshers to go round. Although I totally get first choice, right?

It's not about who's first; it's about who can go until rasin sunday without their academic kids divorcing them!
It's also about helping the poor dears get into the swing of things, but that's another story.

Jons quite right, having academic children isn't about the most or the first choice, theres a sort of pastural element to it. Furthermore some of them even make thier own choices of who they want as parents. I really enjoyed being a father last year and I love all of my multitude of children but I think in the comming year I'm going to aim for fewwer children and getting to know them really well.
Anyway the thing thats really cool is that it looks like I'm going to be a grandpa! (regarding steve, simon and sean anyway) I'm soo Proud! Also will my nieces and nephews via jon be academically welsh?
