It sounds like International Relations is extremely popular. Is it possible to take the first level courses if it is not your actual degree course? Or is it possible but there are just huge class sizes?

Yeh it's pretty much possible to study any subject in 1st year as long as it doesnt clash with your degree course. You'll find that in the first year the lecture classes are quite big but the tutorials are really good if you get Su Dutta as your tutor (little tip) and theyre not that big so i would recommend it.

I did it last year as one of my extra subjects and it's now my degree
