Where is the best place to buy the course literature in st andrews? Or if it´s just someone who already read the first year of management and don´t want their books anymore.. let me know : )

I wouldn't buy any until a few weeks into the semester - in 1st year I spent hundreds of pounds on the recommended books and hardly used them. All the core books are in the library.

But if you really want them, I'd check amazon before going to Balckwells in the union.

I agree with the above post.. and if you do want books, go to the used bookshop called Quattro, its loads cheaper.

I personally don't think you need to buy anything until 3rd year - maybe one or two books in 2nd year if your struggling, but the truth is most 1st years dont open the books they buy and the money could be better spent on beer. Lecturers always tell you that you should be doing lots of reading but it isnt really necessery. Get things from the library if you ever get a strong urge to read something or buy a bottle of beer and read the label.

Not to be a bad influence or anything, but you can definitely coast by with just taking out books from the library or, worst case scenario, mooching off your friends. You'll save yourself a fair chunk of change that way.
