Lets be the sad/controversial one to post, going into second year, am a MMath student so anyone with question about the uni's maths course ill be more than willing to help. I am also a big Rocksoccer, not everyone's cup of tea I know, but if any freshers are into their rock/metal message me and ill fill you in on anything you need to know. Cheers

Freshies??

First years are officially called 'bejants' but calling yourself a First Year is acceptable too. This is Scotland, not the States people!!

Bejants and Bejantines.

Of course, aren't we one of the few universities to use Latin titles like this?

and remember, it isn't freshers' week (we don't have any freshers) it's pre-sesh.

Whatever

While I agree that first years should not be called "freshies", freshers is an appropriate title. When have you ever heard anyone called the week before classes start "pre-sesh". No. It is freshers' week. That might not be it's official name, but that's what almost everyone calls it whether that person is British or American or of any other nationality.
