Round the Twist was fantastic!!! One of THE best programs ever! They were based on the books by paul jennings (an absolute master!) *sigh* they dont make tv like that anymore

Does anyone remember a cartoon called kissyfur?

It was about this little bear who got lost, he used to be in the circus and he lived in a tree (in the trunk) and there were two crocodiles trying to catch him and eat him/take him back to the circus. I loved this so much!

I didn't have a tv when I was wee - but there's two films I remember from friends houses - one was the Princess adn the Goblins, based on George? MacDonald's book, goblins with very sensitive feet and an aversion to singing overrunning a mine - anyone? And Fern Gully, which was about fairies and had a terribly eco friendly message - there was a demon of pollution as I remember. And does anyone remember the look and read videos from primary school?

does anybody remember a cartoon that was on in the mid nineties about a cat and a big fat policeman? The policeman had a name that sounded like something else and they were always making jokes about it. The cat was long and thin and smart alecky and stripey. what was the name, I can't remember.

my memories of that programme are oh so vague. i seem to remember something about a turtle...hmmm...can you remember it more specifically?

anyone remember defenders of the earth??? i remember it was on at the same kinda time ghostbusters was on. the ghostbusters cartoon was an epic.

has anyone mentioned transformers? that was the king of all cartoons. Optimus prime is a legend! autobots roll out and all that matirx of power n stuff. ultramagnus was also quite cool. not sure who the better bad guy was between galvatron and megatron...think i'd favour galvatron...ahhh how transformers kicked the ass. the movie was great with some classic cheesy music:-)

Yay! Fern Gully was great; as Notherners obliged to watch Geordie Racing pigeons in school - u remember how CLEVER they were when they worked out that the villain's messages were written BACKWARDS . . 'Attack of the Killer Tomatoes' creeped me out and still does. Anyone forced to watch 'Dirty Gerty' in school? It haunts my nightmares . .

Attack of the killer tomatoes was quality!
But gotta be Alvin and the Chipmunks for me....was overjoyed to find them on CBBC a couple of weeks ago...think it was 11am roughly on maybe a Tuesday or Thursday!

its surprising what a few years difference makes on people's view points of cartoons.

some cartoons that are mentioned as brilliant, i remember when they came out and folk my age saying "why make this crap! they don't make them like they used to."

so even an age gap of a few years can make a difference. but the 80's was the era for cartoons as the 70s was the era for films.

i turned on channel 4 randomly at something like 5 in the morning, and lo and behold, trapdoor was just starting! it was soooooo fantastic.

OMG! I remember this episode with the shrinking underpants...they put it in the microwave to dry them and they turned magical and kep shrinking and at the end they put them on the frog who jumped really high and people in a plane saw it! lol.

Attack...of the killer tomatoes! Attaaaack of the killer tomatoes! Loved it. Dr Gangrene and the killer kumquats...wtf?

Through the Dragons eye was fantastic!! I loved that dragon!
PawPaw bears was all about these little indian bears and their totem pole (think it was a hawk, bear and turtle, but cant be certian) that came to life (sort of) and helped them out YAY!
Does anyone remember the series drama called something like 'The Tomorrow People?' they could teleport and stuff, and one guy didnt know he was a tomorrow person til he fell asleep and teleported himself into the sea?! Near an Island? Anyone?
I know there was one called 'The Girl From Tomorrow' but that wasnt as good I thought

Ok, long description of a programme I KNOW used to exist, but has only ever gotten me weird looks:

Was on BBC, about 4:30, was set in some school around 3 pals, and this corporation come along and starting building stuff. The exec is this crazy woman with jet black hair, with an obssesion for Aryan nubile young men (her evil sidekick having had bleached blonde hair).

Then it all gets a bit mad...some girl touches something she shouldn't, her eyes go all bulgy and she blows all the lights up in a classroom.

Erm...big, super-evil machine built, witchy woman sits on crazy throne, big booms, creates some new Adonis (kinda like Rocky Horror), tells sidekick to naff-off as she has this new plaything (or summat) etc etc.

Kids save the day.

PLEASE - someone - help wme with this.

OMG!!!! I soooo remember that! Hell that was scary! The big machine thingy was in like an underground bunker and when you put it on summit weird happened (cant remember what alas) then at some point the scary black haired lady put it on and it went all haywire and everyone thought she died but she came back really scary like!!! Eek! Damn! What was that called! I can't believe some of the scary shite I watch on childrens TV!
Does anyone remember that program with the blond haired boy who goes to this remote village with his friends and he turns out to be psychic (or something) and the evil villagers are like involved in a cult thing and try to get him to turn back time so they can call down the antichrist to possess one of his friends unborn sisters?! It all ends in fire and stuff but it was really strange!
