OK so what accents to girls find sexy in guys?

Well mon cherie, je think zat the french accentis rather duff, i much prefer the tones of those sexy scottish dobbers, especially those that are in tune with the dobberishness of the mytunes redux. Dont you just love frogs? they are the best. And you are all big jobees! Ha ha!

Of course, those of us who prefer the excellent nectar that comes from the Emerald Isle (along with all those women with the sexy accents) do indeed spell whiskey with an 'e.' But I'll say no more about that because I've probably got a dozen Scotch fanatics looking to drown me in a column still in retribution for my rank sacrilege.

I like the Yorkshire accent (I guess I have to say that coz my bf is from Yorkshire!!) but it is quite nice.

I also like Northern accents from the Highlands and Islands, the "lilt" is gorgeous.

And as for foreign accents French and Italian are my faves!!

Irish has to be the number one, you really can't beat them and no I'm not Irish. Have to say American accents don't do it for me, well they're nice at first but then they get quite irritating.

American accents can vary so much...not too strong ones from the east coast are very pleasent on the ear, but there are also the ones which sound like someone is speaking through a cheesegrater (I hope people understand what I mean by this...It is the only way I can discribe it!)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds German sexy! French is just too nasal for me and Irish doesn't do anything for me and American is just annoying.

You know how you're supposed to be attracted to people who looks like the appropriate parent? Does that work for voices too? My Dad's German with a strong accent, so am I programmed to find guys that sound like my Dad sexy too? And does it work for homosexual? Are lesbians supposed to be attracted to people that look like their mums?

I do! (Though I'll offer no opinion on his politics, thanks very much). I spent two weeks in NI a couple summers ago and it left me with a lifelong appreciation for women who say 'nae' instead of 'now' and put an extra syllable in words like 'amaze.'

But I'm from Edinburgh, and so are many of my friends, yet we all sound so totally bland. It's a bland, boring accent, it really is.
