Postby Paul Carey on Tue Feb 22, 2005 3:59 pm

Just like the subject says, when does ST Andrews Radio start broadcasting?

Pretty sure it's monday the 28th Feb and it runs for a trial period of two weeks. I'm not too sure what time the first broadcast is though, might be 7am but don't quote me.

Yeah Radio starts Monday 28th, although from the advertising I've seen there is an 8am-10am slot and then nothing till 7pm-1am!?

Yeah, its .com I think. Are the shows available to listen to again? Like an online archive maybe? I know that seems an odd question, but I just wondered.

loving this 'daft punk is playing at my house' track, reminds me of talking heads.

I am on stream too, maybe he's just a wee bit too close to it?

Anyone know the e-mail address for Michael and Fleur's show?
...on another note, I can never seem to get the university directory part of my webmail address book to work. Anyone else had the same problem?

STREAM, ARCHIVE AND GENERAL INFO.

Postby ollymills on Wed Mar 02, 2005 11:59 am

Hey guys, glad to hear most of you are enjoying the station. The Webstream should now be up for most (if not all) of the shows. We've had a bit of a nightmare with it, but we've got a workable solution going and I've had the uni firewall opened to allow all you Resnet users in. We have show archives and I'm currently looking into the best way of getting them on-line, but there are technical, cost and most importnatly legal considerations (the actual music might have to be removed.)

It's been a crazy few days (and nights for that matter!) but we're all very happy with how things have gone so far and I hope we'll pave the way for a longer-term station sometime in the near future. In the meantime keep checking our website (http://www.standrewsradio.com) for up-to-date info.

Cheers,

actually, the domains, standrewsradio.com, .co.uk, and .net are all ours and point to the same place. i suggest you come up with some constructive point instead of calling people who work their asses off for you just so you can just klick a button on your screen "idiots". just a thought. a little respect for all.

Unfortunately, I think if you are representing any group/organisation, you have to be a little more restrained in your answers, no matter how rude the original point may be.
