I'm assuming that by connection you mean the 'residential network'. Same as most places really. For that you just need an ethernet card and a plain old ethernet cable. You can buy the cable from the IT people for a few pounds when you get here. You can also get the cards but if you have a newer laptop, especially a mac you probably already have that. Your laptop is probably universal as far as the power supply goes (so it doesn't matter if its getting 110 or 220). You'll just need a little adapter for the plug which you can get at most travel type stores. Don't bring anything that needs a power converter though, I know people that have destroyed zip drives in seconds using a converter. As far as macs go, I haven't had much trouble. Definitely less trouble with viruses (take that PC users

). Sometimes the network does seem not work for macs, but not often, and sometimes PCs don't work and macs do (this is in New Hall, don't know about other halls). So don't worry about that. Well, hope that helps. And if you have questions, email the IT people. They were really really helpful when I was trying to figure out this stuff last year. Good luck!
