Maybe it's just me, but the fact that there is an american decency organisation homing in on a fashion magazine for being pornographic in a country renowned for having a multi-billion dollar porn industry is quite funny. Don't they have bigger fish to fry?

as for having bigger fish to fry, people who are decent and moral will not be looking at pornographic materials, nor will their children. that's for deviants and sinners.

But... fashionable clothing that is a big part of American culture and has a strong brand name behind it is more difficult to keep out of your life, and your children's lives. If the kids want to be cool, they'll need to wear what the other kids are wearing. that usually isn't Victoria's Secret, but A&F or Hollister - brands that have prestige among young people.

Therefore, these seemingly innocuous brands, along with mainstream magazines like Cosmopolitan and FHM (which is SO tame compared to the British version) are the ones that are being targeted, as they bring unacceptable material into your life, though that is not your primary reason for having them.

This guy who got his Masters from St A had his bachelor from Bob Jones Uni. I was so pissed when I saw that in the program- I fucking should have brought tomatoes and eggs to the ceremony for him. Oh well, too late.
I don't get all these rules about what to wear for girls. I mean... Well, even when around people who are badly dressed I still start to wonder what they look like without it.
