Well, maybe I would not expect a guy to be a virgin, but if he'd slept with every willing woman crossing his path, I'd be apprehensive. Of course that's a very personal issue and eventually it all comes down to what your friend feels about it... if it makes him really uncomfortable and he doubts his decision to marry her because of this information, then that's his right and he should think about it carefully.

I wouldn't mind having a fling with someone who'd had lots of partners before me (safe sex permitting) but would I want to settle down with them? Nope. To me it would seem like they had a different view on sex to me and chances are they'd have a different view on many other subjects that would make us incompatible in the long-term. Hypocritical? Yup and I'll readily admit to it.

However Dunqn's mate is obviously already in a longterm relationship with the girl so I fail to see how marriage is any different to this. Like everyone else has said, at least she's been honest.

Oh and I thought the rule was multiply by three for girls, divide by three for boys.

I have to admit, and don't want to sound insulting or high and mighty in any way, but I would have serious problems being with someone after finding that out. Something like this relates to a persons state of mind and personality and really, I wouldn't be too happy in myself if I'd had 112 sexual partners by any stage of my life.

Perhaps I'm neurotic or something but I really think there is a problem somewhere if someone has had 112 sexual partners by the age of 28/29 whatever.

Also I'm not saying this person would not deserve a chance, just that some serious thought and talking should be had before any decisions are made.

I had a friend who had a spectacular break-up with a long term boyfriend because he called her a nickname she hated in public. Everyone said that she was being ridiculous and incredibly petty, but the main reason for the break-up was because he didn't listen to her when she said that something embarrassed her or bothered her. She didn't want to be with someone who didn't take her opinions into account.

Perhaps it isn't the number that's bothering him. Perhaps it's insecurity especially if he's significantly less experienced or that he's worried that he's only recently found out this information after being with her for a while and maybe there are other big secrets just waiting in the closet.

At the end of the day, he has to function in this relationship. I know I would be incredibly overwhelmed and insecure if I found out my partner had 50 times the sexual partners I had.
