There are literally scores of these, but "matchstick", "offspring" and "birthplace" are some of the best, as is "angsts" by virtue of being the shortest.

The record breaker is "Hirschsprung's Disease" with a very impressive seven consecutive consonants, although it being a German name probably makes it invalid in any reasonable list.

Words that have all five vowels in alphabetical order: GO!

Edited for not reading the question properly

5 consecutive vowels: "queueing" and a whole load of biological/botanical terms.

5 vowels in the right order, too easy! Facetious, abstemious, arsenious and so on. (And if you like Y as a vowel, there's "abstentiously".)

Maringally more tricky - a word with all the vowels, once only, in reverse order...

Look at that. Look at that. "Accident Blackspot"? These aren't accidents. They're throwing themselves into the road gladly. Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness. Throw yourself into the road, darling - you haven't got a chance.

Balls that's got a Y. Bonus points for the word with no vowel? (Y isn't a vowel in my book)

Palindrome: I think "redivider" is the longest palindromic English word.

Words with no vowels is tricker because Y serves as a vowel in English, W serves in Welsh and R serves in some Eastern European languages, so what might look vowelless to us probably isn't. If it's not A,E,I,O or U then the longest word is usually cited as "symphysy" and then there are various glycyl- words. If you insist Y is a vowel, but don't mind W then you can have "crwth" which is a Welsh stringed instrument.

(Is it sad that I know all this? I think it might be.)

When I am empty, nothing moves me.
