What have you done today?

Postby Nymphomanic on Wed Sep 06, 2006 6:25 pm

I went on a run, read one of my set texts for three hours, had a bath and tried on winter clothes to see what neeeded taking in, etc. So not a lot really.

What did you do?

I need excitement to keep me sane for the six days before I come back. Do say.

I faffed on the internet a lot, drank a lot of tea, went for a couple of walks and spent the rest of time packing to come back - clothes are done, just need to pack the other bits and pieces now.

Stasiland, it's meant to help with modern History, (my degree is English but I need to do modules in other stuff as i skipped a semester). Really interesting, about people's attempts to escape the regime in East germany.

Can't wait till 15th. Wait, that means if I'm doing maths it's 9 days. I can't count

Went to work, came home. Went to the computer lab with the intention of studying, but bumped into a friend and went out for tea instead. Went home for a bit, came back to the computer lab, and have since done two questions from a past paper in an attemp to study again. And am now wasting time on the sinner and facebook...oh dear!

met friend in the Chapel at work and played the piano as the organ was locked,
went back to work,
went home,
faffed on computer,
read archaeology book,
helped put up new electric fence so horse wouldn't eat all the damsums and get cholic,
ate tea,
went to Archaeology meeting,
came home,
faffed about even more on computer as it moved some of my files without telling me,
went on Sinner,
wrote on this thread.

Had breakfast
Packed stuff
Had lunch
Drank too much free booze
Got in a car
Got on a transatlantic flight
Got repeatedly kicked by a sleeping 8-year-old
Got on another flight
Got on a train
Got on the Tube
Missed another train
Got on a completely different train
Got on a bus
Came home
Collapsed
Felt hungry
Decided tiredness can wait until my internet cravings are satisfied and my photos are downloaded.

...but then again, that is only my opinion.

Wasted time on the net.

I went to the Chapel and played the organ. I have a key though...

Though I suspect "the chapel at work" is different from the one I'm thinking off. (St Salvators)

I'm going to spend the day in the empty office where I work. Alone. My only interaction is with the mailman when I say 'hey' and he nods and puts 3 pieces, maybe 4 of mail on my desk. I stamp them.

Sounds like a perfect day! But then, I'm feeling particularly reclusive of late.

Woke up
tripped over clothes on the floor
fed cat
forgot coffee
helped install exhibit lighting
learned how to gild copper
made Darth Vader sounds while wearing a respirator

And it's only lunch time...

Woke up
Took painkillers for my pounding headache
Got driven to work
Did cash up and weekly figures
Made a daily planner
Spoke to a few nice customers and the odd rude one
Sold some home furninshings
Laughed as my colleague pretended to give head to the end of a carpet
Sat and read a gossip magazine at lunch and felt my brain seize up
Sold some more stuff
Walked home listening to Rammstein
Watched an old Question of Sport
Sent some applications for flats in Dundee off
Ate
Sat here and wrote this
Work is boring :(
