Who actually elected Rob Fett?
No one.
The man who is held up as a shining example of Association initiative was never voted to his position.
It's always been the way that co-opted members were run at the next available election.
SRC Member for Library and Learning Resources - Vacant.

Set your goals way too high so I can laugh when you fail.

Library and Learning Resources is always run in march. It's quite arguable that "the next available election" means the next time it comes up - i.e. March.

Does all that matter, as long as stuff gets done, and gets done well?

All hail Fett, King of the library! (And they say the SRC never does anything...)

It's not as if Rob did anything to help this, it was something the library was sorting out all along.

Don't get me wrong, I think the later opening hours are a boon for both students and staff, but does the same not apply to the later opening hours?
PGs in my department have been interviewing for the night attendant jobs and from what I hear this has been on the Library's agenda for some time...

it was one of the first things that was raised as both an UG and a PG issue in the very first Student Library Users' Group meeting that we were both at.

All the guy said was that the library is open untill midnight. You are like a bunch of old fishwives. Never bloody happy.
