Didn't fuck up, around 1 mark lower that I expected.

Pull it up over the next year and a half and it's all good.

I have two defered and one that I am happy with and one that I am not happy with but could have been a hell of a lot worse given I came out of the exam crying. Hope everyone else in 3rd year Psych is doing ok with their PS3008 mark.

I'm sure it's been posted before, but how does one work out how they did in the exam from the overall grade they achieved? My history exam was 60% weighted against 40% C.A., so I'm just curious to know...

Is it usual that only one of my grades has been posted? Will the other turn up later today or will it be tomorrow? I'm assuming my entire course has been affected otherwise my nerves won't be able to take it....:-S

About that...

Actually the grade itself isn't so bad, but compared to the others, it's atrocious.

Thought my results would have been better but then I am forgetting that assessments throughout the year are included, which means I must have done very well in my IR exam, which I am happy about. I guess the main thing about second year is just to get above 11.

Yeah it's weird...I got a 14.7 in a subject I thought I did terribly in, and a 14.8 in one I thought I aced. Strange the way the world works. This is 4th year biology btw, hope everyone else did well :D

Hussa... from the looks of things i finish my degree (finished now due to ugly illness last year) with the requisite 2:1 - i salute all the other apathetic and lazy st andreans both past and future who have and will do similar things - knowing just a little effort would have lifted them above their own relative mediocrity.

To all who have made it worthwhile, i thank you!

My PS3008 grade is almost identical to my PS3012 grade, which is a bit odd as I thought PS3012 went very well. I suppose it could have been dragged down a bit by my continuous assessment, but I still don't think that accounts for everything. Oh well.

My PS3021 grade is comparatively terrible, but that's what I get for having a rubbish CA grade.

Hmm, everyone seems to have their marks back but me. I wrote a dissertation last semester, perhaps this is why it's taking slightly longer? Or maybe they release them in different batches... argh!

Well in PS3008 I went from a CA grade of 17 to 12.5 overall. In otherwords that exam was a killer. But for PS3010 I am content with 14.8 and I felt that exam went alright when I sat it. Those are the only marks I have and I have 2 more defered due to finding out about a death in the family litteraly after walking out of the exam hall for PS3010. Not looking forward to having to start studying again, due to my luck no doubt my exams will be in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

I wrote a dissertation in Med History last semester too - I just spoke to the secretaries and they said the grades wouldn't be out until about week 8!!

In comp sci, despite the split being 60%/40% for exam/cont assessment, continuous assessment can only influence the overall grade by at best +2 marks, for whatever reason. So, if you've got a high assessment grade, your overall grade will effectively be exam grade + 2, I think.

If the exam is 60%, divide the overall mark by 10 then times by 6
