ARE results out today?

i don't know if anyone else does this, but i always scroll down on the student recorde page and make sure my eyes aren't focussed very well, but enough to see if i have a result. then i can choose if i want to look. it's ridiculous.

Completely the same here. Thought I was the only one who went through such a process!

I dont know if my eyes are unfocused but it does seem to take a moment to realise that my marks are not there.
In previous years I have done the "scroll to where the previous marks are and then pause, gather yourself then slowly look at the new grades." This year I am opting for the short sharp shock and going straight to the bottom of the page. No stressfull build up. Just get the disappointment out of the way.

I actually scroll down to the bottom to check that I have all my credits (that I have at least passed everything), then I move on to the grades.

My student record page says "Publishing error: This facility is unavailable between 22:00 and 01:00 while scheduled maintenance is carried out."

I'm guessing it means some results are going up?

Some, but not necessarily yours - the system just goes down between those hours for everyone. I think the same thing happens with past papers, actually.

Even though the system goes down 2200 - 0100, the last few exam results I've had were published at about 0730 - 0800, rather than when the system comes back online. Kinda defeats the purpose.

why the hell can't the uni send us an email telling us when the results will be out, coz no-one really seems to know?!? also, it's not fair that most of my friends have their results and i don't have any yet, we should all get them at the same time instead of all this speculation and worrying!!

Besides: Is there any good reason for checking before the 11th of June? I mean: Could I do anything???

School of Classics' grades are all up, for final year students at least, and have been since Friday.

It's never as late as the 11th June by the time they're all up, it's always the first week or so after term ends that mine have been up.

The departments have to report there module results to Registry BY today. Which means anything reported over the weekend will be uploaded tonight. Registry only work Monday to Friday so nothing new will have been put on the system over the weekend...

So we should all have them tomorrow...

Do you mean the degree classification as well? Cause that's what June 11 is referring to?

Where does this degree classification thing go? Is in the "qualification awarded" space at the top of the record card, or does it refer to the actual letter that we get telling us our outcome?

Nope that'll be out on the Saturday 9th, according to the Academic Calendar.

And box_of_delights, I don't know if we get a letter or anything, but it will appear in the space at the top of the record card.

Received an email from Neukirch who is the exam officer for honours maths. He says the same thing, all results should be up by tomorrow.

so do the people who put marks up work weekends?
I've always wondered actually, why they're supposed to come up at 1am - is there actually someone uploading marks in the middle of the night, or is that just the time the website updates automatically?
