Intra-hall transfer

Postby Frasier Fan on Wed Sep 26, 2007 5:12 pm

Does anyone have any experience of transferring to a different room/flat within their existing hall? I've just started my final year here, having applied to go back into DRA on my own. Having been here a few days I know I'm going to find it difficult sharing with the people I've been randomly put with, and would probably have a better time with a different group.

What do you think my chances are? DRA is a pretty big hall so there must be some spare rooms in other flats, right?

As I said on a different post in the Advice Board, hint hint heh heh, I successfully transferred rooms within New Hall. My chances were increased by doing so in between semesters, because I took an old JSA's room.

oh yes, it's possible and DRA is never full.
Just go to Auntie Maureen on DRA reception and she'll get you sorted.

Auntie Maureen (or Anne) will send you to Accommodation Services in 79 North Street as they are the ones who deal with allocations and contracts - it's not really within Mo's power. Go to Old Union Reception or call 2510. Although DRA hasn't really been full yet, it's fairly close this year.
