Good grief, I feel I must abstain from voting on this one. Voting for any of them would make me feel Id betrayed the others! They all have such different styles I think its impossible to pick. What happened to Maigret? That man is a true detective, he doesnt actually really DO anything and the books are so well written its actually pretty irrelevant who committed the crime.

I can see where Fawksie is coming from. He is rather self satisfied and arrogant which does not render him prepossessing. Plus he is little.

Indeed, Poirot is, a bit of an arsehole. If it wasn't for the fact he was also a fairly clever chappie, he'd probably be a whole lot less famous and a whole lot more of a deadbeat.

Still, I find it quite delicious reading, y'know, him being a pratt to essentially everyone except the beautiful society-ladies. He's hardly likeable as a character, but it's still a good premiss. I enjoy reading of him.

Anyhow, where's Jack Frost? I'm more fond of Morse, but I enjoy most of them. Except Miss Marple, never really liked her.
