How about Diablo ii, Age of Kings - the conquerors, Delta force landwarrior, maybe delta force 2.

I know someone who plays call to power, I'll point him to this board when he gets back.

Could try a few different half-life mods. Getting enough people for a proper game of CS or DoD would be good.

Games....

Postby Valen_gr on Sun Feb 09, 2003 6:29 pm

I'm up for Alien versus predator 2,
Warcraft 3, Q3...
Anyone interested?
By the way, think it is a good idea to have a new message board dedicated to gaming, so that ppl can post when they are setting up servers, make things simpler...
Be good if i could post somewhere and know that ppl that want to play will actually see the damn post...

Interested in all three. I now know what you wee posting on that other thread.

A seperate board would be an idea, it would need to be discussed with james.

The image in your signature doesn't seem to be displayed btw, maybe something to do with geocities.

I've finally got around to setting up the mailing list you wanted. To subscribe, send a message to gaming-request@wired.st-and.ac.uk with the subject 'subscribe'. Once subscribed, you can post by sending messages to gaming@wired.st-and.ac.uk.

Have fun,
Chris

Thanks Chris.

For those who don't know I asked for the mailing list to be set up. The idea behind it is for it to be a central place where people can e-mail details of when/what they would like to play on resnet.

Or if someone is setting up a server for short time they can email when it goes up , the game, the ip address and how long they expect to play for. At the end of the game they could email again to say the server was down.

The list open to anyone to join, but the idea is for organisng games on resnet.

LAN

Postby Valen_gr on Wed Feb 12, 2003 11:40 am

Ok, random question:
You know how on Q3 LAN games outside your hall do not appear in your games list, but it is ok because you can specify the IP of the server.
What I was wondering is what hap. in games like war3 and avp2, because as far as i remember there is no specify ip option.Does that mean we can only pley within the residence we are?
Has anyone tried this?
cheers
