Whatever is put on there is going to be someone moaning because they don't like it...tough shit! No one is forcing you to be there.
I'm inclined to think that half of enjoying freshers week isn't the ins and outs of events that are put on, people are meeting new people and the general atmosphere encourages enjoyment rather than what exact song is being played by whom. People in general don't give a toss, I'm sure.
