Basically, i feel that Mr St Andrews, although hypocritical in that Miss St Andrews would be refused, is overall a good thing.
Firstly, it raises money for charity. Which can't be bad.
Secondly, I would say that 90% of the males taking part are 'having a laugh', and although they would like to win, it wouldn't kill them if they didn't
Thirdly, I think that men prefer being leered at by women than vice versa.
Fourthly (is that right??), some of the prettiest women i know in St Andrews would be too shy to enter, and it would be full of 'equine like' yah's - as someone pointed out earlier in this post.
Well, run out of reasons, so i'll cut to the chase. I think that Miss St Andrews, although probably more popular than Mr St Andrews, should not be held on the grounds that it is *more* demeaning for women than men to prance around on stage - in my opinion.
