I have met him, and yes he did not seem too aware that there were peoblems at the start, but I think on the second meeting he was more positive, but I guess he probably could still do more. At least he is meeting with us.

Personaly I don't belive halls are being run effectivly. And more importantly I belive they have any regard for our saftey let alone welfare. But I dont think putting up halls fees will solve this what is needed is new managment.

when we moved in this year, the upgrades to our house werent finished, we were minus carpets, working doors and working boiler.
Some dumbass has painted the doors then closed them all so they dried shut, we broke the glass in the front door kicking it open, and the boiler had been assembeled wrong so it could only give hot OR cold, and couldnt mix them for the shower... i.e freezing cold or steam clean. And noone had bothered to replace the upstairs carpets after removing them all. The new kitchen cabinets are also coming away from the wall too, and theres a nasty crack in the wall behind them. Thats what they get for fixing them to that stupid window / wall job in the kitchen.

That said we did get a big f*ck off fridge, so it wasnt all bad.

doesnt the university have some sort of legal requirements to prvide adequate accomadation? private landlords do. Also doesnt it stipulate in your contracts what you can expect? or am i just naive? im coming to st As in Sept and am slightly put off st andrews now

Leaving in the Shit hole that is Fife park, I just thought I would moan along with the rest of you about the £140.00 increase that we have had to incur this year, the fact they are taking plates, cutlery etc, away really just adds insult to injury. What the hell does Accomodation think they are doing?
