New Student Film goes down the pan??

Postby HollywoodFX on Mon Oct 27, 2003 11:08 pm

I was sitting in the Cellar earlier and think I saw and overheard Ben Hecking talking to a guy and a girl.

I couldn't hear all the conversation but from what I could here it sounded to me like the film is going down the pan.

Hate to be the one that says i told you so but...."Well I told you so."

Wow you come to the sinner looking for sex AND you go to bars and listen into private conversations. What a busy life you lead :D

Yes and you seem to derive a lot from someone talking about a film.

Shouldn't private conversations remain private?

So, you half heard a conversation between some people who you don’t know, but think might be involved in a film, about something that you don't know, and filled in the blanks yourself. And the blanks that you filled in happened to fit in with what you wanted to hear.

That’s not really very good evidence to post on the sinner saying that this guy’s film is toast.

Spoke to someone this morning who said that it was definately ending because they were getting rid of the actors - himself included.

Strikes me that means the end for the film.

If I didn't say that I told you so then I certaintly passed comment on his previous film - based on that I think it deserves to fail - at least we won't have to sit though another "Island in the Sun"

Oi! I'm on the bloody cast and ain't no one told me its folded!
Anyhow I just had a facial, whole body wax, eye brow pluckage, surgical nose hair removal, hair extensions stuff, wild dyes and nine weeks advance booking in the sports centre tanning booth. I've been doing 2000 abdominal crushes and 30 minutes rope jumping a day for the last month. I can body press three times my own body weight. I am officially buff. But I am now fed up of tesco diet sandwiches and smints.
No son-of-bitch is gonna blow my big chance. I'm gonna be a star baby!

Hey I bloody wrote 'Island in the Sun'. Admittedly the entire written script was abandoned and they did add that bit about the pub (I wanted him to die) but hell there was potential there. I mean we won 'The People's Choice'. Grumph, you'll drive me back to the chocolate and it took me nearly a decade to quit.

Well, I thought it was very funny - definately the funniest of the films that were made by people I don't know.

It is so difficult to make a neat job of killing people with whom one is not on friendly terms.

I really liked 'Island in the Sun', it was short, sweet and unpretentious. Must go down on the beach sometime haven't been there in ages.

'Island In The Sun' was funny.

Hollywood, you're coming across as petty and jealous, almost as if you wanted it to fall through. How sad.

If it has been scrapped, it is a pity. The people making it would have had fun, and it could have been a good wee filum.

There is no substance in Hollywood's comments. Its all speculation. Also, I agree with Kim. It does sound petty and jealous behaviour.

So is saying the opposite. No one knows for sure so speculation is all there is. And as for the comment about someone else sounding petty and jealous: pot, kettle and black.

Hardly any kettles seem to be black these days though.

Well, I had a look for you in the Societies' Directory, but whilst they have an impressive writeup, they had published no contact details. I recommend contacting Mermaids, at mermaids@... . They should be able to help you.
