Cats. Obviously.

More attractive;
less annoying;
independent (don't need walking - will even feed themselves if need be);
less smelly;
they don't lick you (unless you ask really nicely ;-) );
more intelligent;
know when to stop eating (a dog doesn't know when it has eaten enough, it will continue to eat food as long as you give it. Stupid animal);


There are many more reasons.
