Reading the reactions to actions taken by a few enlightened members of St. Andrews society deeply saddens me. It worries me how some students (need I remind you that you should still be embracing life) feel like having a little fun at the expense of a temporary mess, is unacceptable behavior. Who do you people think you are? I hope and pray that there was at least one day or instance where you lost all inhibitions and just went for it, let it all hang out. Dylan Thomas's ideas on living, eloquently summed up in the following lines: "Do not go gentle into that good night, / Old age should burn and rave at close of day; / Rage, rage against the dying of the light," I hope imparts upon you the belief that life does not have to be lived one dying day after another, you should rage against the dying of the light! People please don't sell your-'self' short at the expense of being mature and elitist, you are not better than the members of JBH for not causing a ruckus, you are simply leading less exciting lives. That being said, you don't need to participate in 'Hall Wars" to fulfill your promise of carpe diem; however, if that is how some people want to suck the marrow out of life, then let them spend their time that way. Speaking on behalf of JBH, I invite our 'enemies' to retaliate; it's a fine day for war. Finally, remember this is all life and life only.
All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie.
