Hi there.

Firstly I'd like to apologise for my ignorance. I was not aware that the Sinner or those who use the site objected to advertising on its message boards. As this is obviously the case, I would like to assure anyone who objected to the post (so far only Lid, Octavian, and Mod) that I wouldn't have posted an 'advert' had I realised this.

However, it does occur to me that such an objection reveals a certain degree of distaste. I am not advertising for profit, and I am not advertising a commercial product. My intention is simply to inform people of an upcoming local event which they may well enjoy. Moreover, the evening of a cappella has been organised in the interests of charity, and all profits will be given away. We will certainly be donating to UNICEF and possibly other charities too.

If this seems unreasonable then I'm sorry.

To those who enjoy live a cappella, and are happy to lend a hand to some charities at the same time, I hope you enjoy the evening!

PS: Octavian...people obviously read the posts here, facebook, and memos otherwise you wouldn't have found the notices that were posted there in the first place. You get full marks for effort nonetheless.

Do i possibly detect an attempt to bump your thread up here?
Although the charities idea is fair enough.
So is world domination one of your aims- you did not deny it!

Octavian, if your whimpering is going to bump this thread up the list then that's great...carry on. Maybe next time you could employ some ciceronian techniques to go with that nice big name of yours eh?

but seriosly....I'll be honest...world domination has been on my mind recently. I feel a cappella is a great starting point. If you want in we can talk terms...split the thing, you know...

Twas a very good evening. In fact, I can safely say it's the first time I've ever had fun in a church. St Andrews is apparently a centre of excellence for A Capella. The university should add it to the prospectus.
