For £250 you can do quite well. TKMax should have some £500 reduced to £200 DJ's.
Slaters or M&S will give you off the peg. Slaters DJ's start at £80-£90 upto what ever you wish to spend but remember they will do free alterations.
Amazed that anyone dares to recommend T K Maxx after the sniffy response elicited last time advice was sought:
…don't get taken with a certain label or anything else. It's better to have a properly fitting M&S suit than a Hugo Boss suit that doesn't look right…
…don't be lured by a flashy label, go for a quality fabric and a cut that looks good on you, I'm heartily sick of people in bag-like designer label suits for which they paid hundreds…
Did you ever get your general purpose lounge suit, Rob? And which shop’s offering happened to fit you? Point is, M & S’s trousers may not accommodate an athlete’s thighs, whereas sheer luck may dictate that the despised ‘flashy‘ label from T K Maxx have its jacket cut as though tailored to the wearer (who then went off to Sandhurst in it). You can but trail around and try on – and pay cash in T K Maxx!!
