Anyone got any advice on good garages / garages to avoid in St Andrews. My cars up for MOT in a month and I really don't fancy driving back to Leeds to get it done there. The cars nothing speciaal, typical student banger.

Thanks in Advance, Andy. :D

McConnechy's (on the road to Morrisons) has always seemed very honest and friendly over the years for me.

I second this, never had any problems and they were friendly whenever I had to take my car in.

I've had MOTs done by Bassaguard and had no problems. I also broke a driveshaft in Anstruther and they towed the car, replaced the shaft and realigned the steering before 2pm the next day and for a fairly reasonable rate. Good work, and friendly, approachable staff.

And a third from me, got my MOT done there last September, quick and easy, no fuss. Had some work done on the brakes a few months ago too, they seemed to be pretty decent about that and got the job done for a pretty reasonable price.

Bassaguard up by Aldi, and Guardbrige Motors over in Guardbridge have both served me well.

I found Bassaguard to be excellent - prompt, friendly, relatively good value, and seemingly honest (they advised that something I had though needed doing didn't actually need fixing, saving me £150+)...
