What dear 'username' chose to leave out was this bit:
"If you do not want to receive promotional email from Facebook and/or do not want us to share your information with third parties for marketing purposes, please submit a request by clicking here. We will make every effort to implement any choice you make as soon as possible."

I did read that. Try clicking and it will say "Thanks. Your request has been recorded." now you think they will respect your choice ?
After all facebook is not that good, it's too poor.

I guess I can believe them as much as I believe any other company who asks me if I want my data passed...After all facebook is not that good, it's too poor.
Is this what it's all about for you? That you don't like facebook? Just say so then, and don't start preaching fire and brimstone because there's something in the T&Cs you don't care for. "OH GNOES! A site where I voluntarily gave my data is holding on to my data! I entered a contract without reading it! I need out!!1one"
How does this really effect my day to day live? Hands up if you've been inundated with spam from facebook related companies...

It's not about me. I am using more sophisticated online services but that would never be a reason to suggest that you do not use facebook. However $13 million is not a small amount of money and should make you start thinking about the service you are using and why so much money was given to such a website from Accel Partners.
