Anyone still up and not drunk?

Oli, what exactly is the purpose of this? If you've already said so, say again because I can't be arsed to read that many pages of one thread!

To see if people will post 1000 replies on a thread for no reason.

basically, they're trying to get more hits on the sinner, is what I'm thinking.

For the advertising I reckon.

I do wish people would read what I write.
It's not for advertising (1000 posts probably wouldn't even be worth a quid).

It's to see whether people would do something for no real reason, but with a definite aim.

And "they" is me. Oli. Admin. He, not they.

I'm pretty sure an economist did a study of when people will do things for no reason. Considering the cost of this is very low, and the benefits are ambiguous and individually determined, what matters is the amount of people who actually know about the cause...

So, in my most esteemed assesment: it could happen.
