Print Unit vs Reprographics

Postby DrAlex on Thu Sep 06, 2007 7:27 pm

The Uni website being as wonderful as it is, I can't figure out where the Print Unit (http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/students/tech/printing/) is.

Is this part of reprographics, and therefore on The Scores, or is it a separate entity somewhere else?

Well,

Walk down bridge road beyond the KFB. Go past where somerfield used to be and there is a little industrial estate behind the car dealership. You will find the Print unit in there. Though it is expensive. You may find the Union can provide what you need for less......

That was the bindery, which has now closed down.

Oh yes - is it true that we can no longer get our PhD thesis bound by the university and we have to go to Dundee to have it done?

When I spoke to the guy at the bindery, he said more likely Edinburgh or Glasgow.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the substrate.

It's on North Street.

Many thanks. Annoying that everything you need is on the website, but not necessarily in one place.

You can get the soft binding required for submission at reprographics. As I understand it, reprographics will also now do hard binding for final submissions.
