The whole competition is quite ridiculous, it seems - give out a bit of money to somebody winning a (so far) relatively arbitrary contest, and a few prizes every week, and make them watch 8 minutes of propaganda the first week alone - yay! Quite a cheap way to get publicity, really, especially since so far it is not really all that hard, just a lot of 'Shell' being screamed at you everywhere you click.

For any technical issues, always make sure you load the file from the webpage first thing, and make sure that it is the one for the round that you are playing. Click on it, open it with Google Earth, and if the geotags still don't appear, you're either in the wrong place, or there are other technical difficulties...

For those who don't want to watch the whole video clip, do a quick search for some of the key words online (theo, shell, malaysia, athens), and you can read the script and find the main clues in there...

I just searched Google for "Geopursuit" - The Sinner is the first link after all the Shell official stuff.

Well done, Sinners!

Makes you think how many other universities are participating, or maybe just how many other universities have as active message boards... (or maybe just how well they hide them from the numerous bots crawling through this forum)

In the last four days, searching for "geopursuit" has led 119 people to the Sinner :)

Edit: Bloody hell, there's more than that. There's another 60 keywords listed with "geopursuit" somewhere in them. Mostly involving "forums", "help" and "answers". It's brought in 15% of our visitors in the last two days.

They've awarded the Ipods to the first 10 people who finished last week's round. It seems extremely unfair to me...

Hey,
has anyone worked out the week 2 clue yet?

I'm stumped.

It's too late to win a speed prize anyway, but the points would be nice.

It does seem harder, but I think it may seem quite obvious when we get it. I have exhausted my initial ideas with no luck, so I'll try again tomorrow when I don't have a presentation to write ...
