Actually we've been around for years, long before Geopursuit, as an alternative outlet for information at St Andrews. It just so happens we're the most active forum for Geopursuit so lots of folk find their way to this particular thread.

That snake drill game - weren't you supposed to get points for doing level one? Then points for level five or something then more points for finishing altogether? I didn't finish it but I'm sure I should have an extra couple of hundred points.

Also - if I log in then look at, say, the leaderboard, I can't get back to the screen to view the clue and type in the code without logging out then in again. If you hit the profile tab it just takes you to a screen to update your details. Am I missing something?

it's a very badly programmed page - not so easy to navigate, and overall quite confusing.

For the game, I think you got 100 points somewhere between 5 and 7, then another 100 somewhere around 15, and 500 more when you finished the whole game somewhere in the 20s.

I think they're saying that Geopursuit is inadvertently advertising St Andrews, when it's supposed to be advertising Shell.

I did finish it, but I still didn't get any extra points added to my total (despite being told during the game that an extra 100, 100, and 500 had been added).

Am I the only one who thinks there must be some way of finding the codes without having to solve the rather cryptic clues? I say this because of the speed with which people find them and the fact that the same names keep showing up in the top 10.

There may well be. Somebody who is a bit more able with computers than me may find more detailed clues in the actual files etc. But it's not easy, possibly very hard, and certainly against the spirit of the game !

I must admit when they posted their answers and suddenly they are top ten without 10 minutes going past a was tremendously hacked off!

Then my girlfriend came in and took 20 minutes to find the answer, of which i failed to do for about an hour before closing my laptop is disgust...

Im not sure if there is anything to conspire over or whether they are just lucky with their searches.

I am sure there must be a way of finding the coordinates of any geotags if you have some programming knowledge as it would surely have to be broken down in the code of the shell file somehow...
